Optimal emergency care provided by air will be determined by available ressources, the medical and rescue competence airlifted to the pre-hospital setting, and the time until definitive care. In simple words: How fast and with what level of quality can a medical emergency or crisis be solved?
Even with the best intentions, time is lost, and mission outcomes are at stake when qualifications and procedures are not kept at the highest level. Individual skills and experiences amongst those who partake will vary and influence the options of care and chances of good outcomes. On the medical side, procedures have been implemented without evidence that confirms their safety and efficacy. Thus, there is an urgent need for international exchange of knowledge and experience.
AirMed 2022 will cover state-of-the-art medical science, thus highlighting the commitment of HEMS and Air Ambulance providers to deploy the best personnel and newest technology available.
AirMed 2022 will focus on the entire chain of survival comprising appropriate dispatch, rapid response, and optimal care on site and during flight. Minimizing time to emergency and definitive care by maximizing competence and proficiency are the key factors to be discussed.
AirMed 2022 will address primary and secondary quality indicators for benchmarking of standards and quality improvement.
AirMed 2022 will provide the platform to share experience, knowledge and newest insights within the world-wide HEMS and AirAmbulance community
