We are pleased to announce this Call for Abstract for the AirMed World Congress 2022, taking place in Salzburg, Austria 28-30 June 2022.
In addition to medical and aviation topics, authors are welcome to submit their work on useful tools, equipment and software apps that can make our life in HEMS and Air Ambulance easier and more efficient.
With an expected number of participants close to 500, AirMed 2022 is a large and important educational and scientific event in the international HEMS and Air Ambulance community. The target audience of the congress is doctors, nurses, pilots, technical crews, researchers, managers, administrators, technicians and any other personnel involved in or having a special interest in HEMS and/or fixed-wing medical repatriation services.

Submitted abstracts will be assessed by peer review by the AirMed 2022 Abstract Committee. The Abstract Committee will assess all abstracts with focus on the following five aspects:
Only abstracts which follow the submission guidelines and are received before deadline will be taken into consideration by the Abstract Committee.
Accepted abstracts will be presented as a poster and will also be published online in the Scandinavian Journal of Trauma, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine.
You will receive information about acceptance of your abstract 20th of May 2022. With an accepted abstract, you are entitled to register to AirMed 2022 at a reduced rate (students rate including social events).
There will be a Poster Session as part of the Scientific Program for the AirMed 2022 World Congress. Awarded posters in the poster session might get the chance to be included on free slots in the program. Applicants should be prepared to give a presentation about their poster topic in one of the sessions.
Please note that, if we experience an arrival of several applications right up to the deadline, we will take the liberty to postpone the notification of the outcome of the submission out of consideration for our desire to make a thorough effort to assess the posters.
